Oasis have announced an 18 gig tour of the UK with the first show playing at the Liverpool Echo Arena on October 7th 2008.

Tickets for the Oasis tour go on sale this Wednesday - 20th August - at 9.00am.

The announcement of the UK tour coincides with the release of their eagerly anticipated new album 'Dig Out Your Soul' which goes on general sale the day before the UK leg of their world tour starts.

Riding high on the success of their March 2008, Mojo Magazine: Award Winning album release ‘Dig Lazarus Dig’, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will be playing 6 UK shows throughout November 2008 at Brighton, Edinburgh, Manchester,  Sheffield and London.

Fans of the Stereophonics will be pleased to hear that the Welsh rockers are back in a sell out UK tour to re-live and celebrate the best tracks of their career so far.

In addition to the list of scheduled gig dates, the Stereophonics will also be releasing a new pre-tour album on Monday the 17th November titled 'A Decade In The Sun: The Best Of Stereophonics'.

Visiting some of the biggest name venues from around the country, the 12 stop tour starts on the 6th December visiting Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Brighton, Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield, the final gig of the tour will be playing out at the London O2 Arena on the 20th December.

Stereophonics tickets will be available from 9:00am this Thursday 14th August, be quick because you can guarantee that they wont be available for long.

The Spitfire Proms Spectacular at Headcorn Aerodrome is undoubtedly one of the biggest and best summer picnic concerts anywhere in the UK. It is a wonderful evening of classical favourites and flag waving fun!

The superb English National Orchestra and Soprano Sarah Ryan will perform a repertoire of all your classical favourites accompanying an aerial display from an original WW2 Spitfire and American P51d Mustang – a spectacle that has become an essential element of the concert.

With a packed programme of superb music the evening will climax with a glorious fireworks display as the orchestra performs traditional proms favourites that will include Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory and of course the triumphant 1812 Overture.

We can promise you an unforgettable night of wonderful music, emotion and patriotic flag-waving fun. So, bring a picnic, sit back and enjoy a summer’s evening Proms concert with a difference!

Kicking off on the 14th June is the Folkestone Triennial event. For two months between the 14th June and the 14th September, The Folkestone Harbourside and the Stade areas will be host to a series of live music and street theatre performances.

Turin Brakes last played in Kent back in 2003 to a sell-out crowd at the Leas Cliff Hall, but they return this August for a one-off event organised by local promoters Hevy, supported by two of the UK's greatest upcoming bands: Kid iD from Leeds and Canterbury band Syd Arthur.
