Terry Wisbey's TEXAS THUNDER are one of the hottest bands currently playing the UK live music circuit. They are a dynamic power trio recently described by America's top selling Blues Revue magazine as 'England's masters of Lone Star sounds'. They draw heavily on the influences of contemporary blues artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Larry Garner and the Fabulous Thunderbirds but also the legacy of legendary blues icons like Freddie, Albert & BB King, Howling Wolf and Junior Wells. During the 9 years that the band has been on the road they have built a formidable reputation for their energetic live performances and great music. With more than 500 gigs under their belts in pubs, clubs and festivals all over the UK and Ireland, their live performances are characterised by blazing guitar riffs and a scorching blend of great covers and original songs.
Texas Thunder have recorded two albums, 'Lonesome Highway' released in 1997 and 'Bolt from the Blues' released in May 2003. Both received excellent reviews, particularly in the USA, the home of the blues.
