The Sheffield Arena

The Sheffield Arena hosts some of the biggest name concerts and live music events in the North of England and was officially opened on May 31st 1991 by Her Majesty The Queen.

With concerts, gigs, tours and shows drawing in some 900,000 people to the arena each year, it’s not hard to see why many of the biggest selling artists from around the World include the Sheffield Arena in their UK tours.

Owned by Sheffield International Venues (SIV), one of the largest sport, leisure and entertainment companies in the North of England, The Sheffield Arena regularly hosts world class sporting and entertainment events, through to local activities and on average, has an event on 200 days out of every year.

The Sheffield Arena is managing on behalf of SIV by Live Nation - Live Nation is the largest live music company and promoter of concerts, gigs and live music events in the world. Live Nation are also the second-largest entertainment venue management company so when you go to the Sheffield Arena to see a gig, show or concert, you know that it’s going to be something special.

Arena Parking:

The Sheffield Arena has provision for nearly 1,300 on-site car parking spaces with an additional over-flow facility for 700 cars. Parking is limited to a first come first served basis and is payable upon entrance.

Alternative Parking

There is only limited on-street parking around the Arena. Park and Ride facilities are available from the train station at Meadowhall Shopping Centre and off the Sheffield Parkway (A630).

Public Transportation:

By tram: The Sheffield Arena has its own supertram stop, with park and ride facilities at all main entries to the city. Information and timetables for the tram service can be found at www.supertram.com.Trams run approximately every ten minutes from 06:00 until midnight.

By rail: Sheffield Intercity is just two miles from the Sheffield Arena. taxi cabs operate from the train station or alternatively, buses can be caught from the bus station that is located just opposite the train station. Meadowhall interchange is an alternative station.
