Seven story down formed in October 2000 as a three piece (Dave - drums, Ollie - bass and vocals and Shaun - guitar), and called themselves 'SOD' (Shaun, Ollie, and Dave). Their largest gig to date a mini music festival in Tunbridge Wells was in March 2002, where they played to about 450 people. After passing the auditions, they were allowed to play at the W.K.C Battle of the Bands and came fourth. Also seven story down played supporting a semi-pro band at a hotel party. Matthew Scannel was choosen as the lead guitarist in June.
