Guitar duo |
Relief are a melodic guitar driven Duo, based in Maidstone, and were formed by Mark Mathews (Rhythm Guitar and Vocals) and Chris Day (Lead Guitar) in March 2004. Since that auspicious date, the band have performed numerous gigs around the Kent, London and Essex areas, and they have been successful in various competitions, with "UK Unsigned" being one of the more high profile ones.
Relief create, original melodic tunes, with infectious guitar licks and memorable chorus's, that cannot be tied down to sounding like any one particular band or artist. This is due to the wealth of influences, both classic and contemporary, that have moulded the Relief sound.
After two unsuccessful attempts at capturing the RELIEF sound on Demo, it was finally cracked, finding a studio and technician that understood what RELIEF was all about and now they have a three track demo to offer. |
