We're Medea, a 3-piece Canterbury/Ashford based alternative rock band.
Our drummer Alec and myself (lead guitarist/pianist and vocals) formed the band in April 2006, with Dan (the bassist) joining in July of this year. Since forming we have managed to produce around 10 of our own tracks, with more in the making, and a certain degree of additional riff based smaller tracks and interludes; 4 of these full tracks will be featured in our first E.P
We have been influenced by many different styles of genre and thrive on creating original unique tracks (and sounds). Some of our influences include big-timers such as Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Muse, Radiohead and The Mars Volta.
Our main aim and the reason behind why we make our music is not only to record, but also more importantly, by producing memorable and exciting live performances. Music in our opinion is a way to express emotions and is all about giving something back to the industry, whatever it may be, and nothing can be better than producing it live and in person; we thrive on the ambition that drives us to succeeding this.
We have also produced a Demo CD which we hope to soon record as our first E.P |
