| Picking up comparisons to the likes of Mick Jagger, The Black Crowes, Steve Miller, Bill Withers and The Rembrandts Jake's sound was soon drawing attention. Support slots cropped up with Patti Rothberg, Gene Harris, Pete Francis and older brother Curtis (the rest of the band have worked and perfromed with most of the US rock/pop scene including Lenny Kravitz, Black Crowes, Enrique Iglesias, Tina Turner, Destiny's Child, Will Smith, Soul to Soul, Lou Reed, David Byrne, Shabba Ranks, Debbie Harry and Bo Diddley), and in 2004 his first album Comin' Back Again was independently released in the US to much acclaim from the music press and fans who scooped up over 5000 copies.
