Ah man you got me all wrong, I'm not pointing the finger at anyone in particular, least of all Laras gang, thats all water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned these days. I meant tha general sickening back slappiness that went on a couple of years ago where if you didn't hang with the 'crowd' then your comments and views were ignored en masse. |

It's late/early. I'm posting because I need stimulation outside of learning about MS Access. I agree there is a lot of back slapping that goes on but I think that's the nature of a local music forum. To what degree it's acceptable and at what point it becomes sycophantic is a good question. I don't feel this place is too cliquey nowadays. I try not to be a part of that. Are you talking about the whole forum as one big clique Dman? If so I think that's the nature of forums to a large degree!
If someone turns up and starts making dick-ish posts then they'll be treated like a dick. However if they turn up with decent non-trolling posts and they're treated like a dick then the offendersneed to be smacked down! Hoo yeah!
...I'm so tired I'm not even sure if this is making any sense at all. Bleh. |

because i dont come on here as often i do sometimes feel out of the clique. but then i think i dont care, people respond to my posts more often than not, and no one seems to have a pre-concieved opinion of me based on who i know, so its all good. |

dman, i didn't use this user name before, it was actually my friend Joe's name that he set up when selling a smoke machine or something on here years ago, he sometimes came on when i was involved in various things but it wasn't me i can assure you, i'm only using it now because my user name is banned.
Dayfall were banned for different reasons from myself also so it's not a direct comparison to say that now i'm on here they should be allowed on.
I hope that clears things up for you. |

aye, clique en mass is alive and well, I'm glad it seems to be on the wane, but it is still there, Its arare that new people stick around nowadays coz they don't get replied to, I've plugged away coz i think its worth it and now people do at least reply to me! but thats about as far as it goes!
