Remember the trouble we had with the council, Andy Doble and Gustonbury? We played it one year, and it was awesome. I have no idea what the fucking councils problem is with this. It's a frikkin pub, for christ sake! I dont think this will happen, Neil. Dover Council are shit. Look at whats going on outside venue-wise in Deal, Folkestone, Canterbury, Ashford, Maidstone, etc. As usual, Dover council have their thumbs up their arses. SO much potential, that town. It's a shame. |

Remember it well mate. When you think of the sites around here that could be used for SO much, western heights/ top of Grand shaft, for one. I'm sure any other council would see the potential,but ours? Too busy with their heads up their arses,or tongues up each others. |

We played at that Grand shaft one that Doctor Dave did as well. Was good, but the piggy-wigs came and buggered things up. People have been having parties and raves at smokey for years, aint they? The council are sitting on a goldmine there. For tourists and the potential for outdoor gigs. A bit of funding for health and safety. A lottery fund bid. Anything. But they wont even try. That town has more potential than any other in England in my opinion. You need a De Haan, like Folkestone has. If I ever make loads of money, i'm there. So much could be done! |

Every day from work I get to look out and see Burlington fucking House. Why is it still there? To me its the shining beacon of everything beurocratically shit about the town. Saying that, a lot of the people don't really help matters. I used to say about Deal that it was full of old people waiting to die. In Dover, I think they're more zombified. |

at least that thing looks like a boat from afar, especially at night. ours just looks like a piece of shit from close and from a distance. i hate having this conversation it does my head in because i know this area could be amazing, if the council gave a tiny rats ass.
