New strings for every gig, without fail. Always have, always will. I personally find a strange catharsis in cleaning and re-stringing the old geetars. Good for the soul. |

I use Framus strings. I think they retail at 3.29. they cost me bugger all (trade an all that) and the same for bass strings. I can kill a set of strings in one gig. (that includes bass strings). I sweat a bit too much when I start trying. I once used those gold plated Maxima bass strings. Brand new on the saturday afternoon, dead as a dodo by the start of the 2nd set. (i think I used to sweat animal puss, or something.) |
