While I lean more towards Trotskys writings I do feel you're missing thye point of any revolution. Russia was unique for a revolution as Marx never thought it would happen there. Mistakes were made as in any battle/revolution and things were getting better - Historians agree with that. Things only started to go wrong when Stalin got into power. I don't see how you can possible slate Lenin when the country was in turmoil - Still not as bad as under the Tzar though! |

" Herbivore under any revolutuion be it Anarchist, Communist etc etc the rulling class would have to go. If you let these people stay they would constantly fightback and be a pain in the arse as they just wouldn't sit back and take it. History has shown that to be the case so the Communists were justified in what they did by eliminating then. It's nothing new Western Govts especially America and Britain had been and still are doing such shit. Even back in the early 1900's you have to understand that many people didn't have the education we have today and I exdpect if the the revolution had kicked off in 2008 those people who were eliminated would have just been exiled. And Wikipedia is hardly a site based on facts as anyone with even the lowest form of intelligence can have an opinion on that site. Unfortunately Russia was a too larger area for Communism to ever work. In fact thats why Marx refused to go there as the size of the place and all that would have been too complex. Still at the beginning things did improve for the peasants etc. It was only when Stalin got to power that things went badly wrong. Yes mistakes were made before then but surely that would and will be the case in any revolution. Hitler did what he did for the good of the German people...That's true isn't it? No as the German people were forced to live a rather harsh life. Speak out and end up in a Labour Camp or die or keep quiet. So no as history dictates Fascism wasn't very good for the German people.
