Whose version do you prefer? Personally, I'd go for Rufus Wainwright's because that's the one I'm most familiar with - plus I think he has a far better voice than Buckley. Leonard Cohen does it justice (obviously) but he's no singer at the best of times, so, despite the plethora of versions littering up the cosmos, I'm definitely going for Wainwright.
As an afterthought, I've been doing this number acoustically for years and it's always gone down a storm wherever I've done it. Maybe it's a lucky charm? |

The only reason his version's better is that it had him in the accompanying video wearing an Australian bushtucker hat with Carol Vorderman's used Tampons on the rim to keep the flies off. |
