A colleague-mate lives opposite the Horse. This is our first night of a six week SCHOOL'S OUT holiday. I told him to close his windows to the volume. Instead it's the start of a fiesta. His Spanish father-in-law is being brought to this pub to see and hear EK1. He has never been into a British pub. He has never drunk a pint of bitter. This will be a special, enveloping British moment for him. Some of my kiddies are coming in on the sly dressed as 23 year olds. (They saw the ads). I now have Gordon's power to stop and search so may bust them if I feel like it. If I was a drinking man, I'd park on my mate's drive and get slaughtered. Drop in and meet the disoriented Spanish dad-in-law. Enjoy EK1, too. |

It all worked. It was all good fun. They came. They commented on our jazz tinges. Which was nice. We clicked. I got home frightfully late. |
