You may or may not have noticed that on page 46 of The Gig Guide, we have a regular classified feature where people can leave small adverts (50 words) for free!

So, if you're in need of a band or are in a band and need a new member, send an email to dan.kirkness@gc-publishing.co.uk and we can include an ad for you and help you find what you're looking for.

Ooo! This is fun!

It's gotta be about that magazine publication thingy...!

Then again, maybe hes just told us the winning lottery numbers. because he's psychic.

Or...Or...it could be like that end scene in raiders of the lost ark.  And if we look, our faces will melt into poo.

That could be why no-one that HAS read it has answered.  They could all be dead of poo face.

I'm going with the poo face option!

Unless it's something that will make me famous if I give them £7000 up front, I LOVE THEM ONES!

If you read it and tell me, will I die or will you both be dead?

Its all right guys, you can look, it won't melt your face!

I was just curious how many people would click on it, hence the title.

Its so frustrating, there are all these musicians looking for bands and bands looking for musicians. I want them to put a little ad in our magazine. Its completely free!!!!!!!! I want more people involved. And, I want to help people.

I don't understand why so many people have seen my original post about this topic and blogs/bulletins on myspace and not sent me any ads after, even though they need a band/member.

Does anyone know why this might be? Are they too lazy to write a 50 word ad perhaps? Do people think they have to pay for it? Please any help would be great!!!

It would be nice to fill a page each time with at least 15/20 small ads. So far, for the next issue, I've got 5 only!!!

Help! dan.kirkness@gc-publishing.co.uk

Hi Joe, nice user name by the way.

The Gig Guide is available at pubs and venues as well as music shops, colleges, universities scattered all over Kent. Pubs/Venues/Shops that advertise get more copies to give out to regulars.

If you want to ask any questions to do with advertising, editorial, classfieds, or anything else really, send an email to dan.kirkness@gc-publishing.co.uk

or give me a call if you like 01843 282526

I can send you a copy through the post if you like too.

Cheers!

Dan, post an ad at www.Mrsgig.com about this as well, because I'm working on bringing teachers and educational people in local music on there as well.  They may find your publication handy.

Keep it up.  It's just a case of being persistent.  People will pay attention sooner or later.

Smile
