Hey guys, I know I already posted about this last week, just trying to get the word about as the studio is in its early stages. Some of you may remember this studio as Astra Audio a few years back, I know a lot of musicians have wondered what happened to the studio, and I'm now pleased to tell you it's re-opened its doors as Barewires Studio. I am moving all of my business from The Manor Studio to Barewires, and will be taking new bookings there from June 1st!

ABOUT THE STUDIO:Live Room
Barewires Studio has been around since the mid 1980's (to the best of our knowledge) under various names and ownership. Many popular records have been made here, and a vast amount of reputable musicians have walked through its doors over the last two decades.

The studio itself is situated in Monks Horton, Kent - overlooking some of the most stunning views of the Kent countryside. With the Black Horse pub at one end of the lane, and the Tiger Inn at the other, the studio is an ideal countryside location to lay down your songs and get away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. We are situated within five minutes of the M20 motorway and brand new service station with fast food outlets and coffee shops, and only an hours drive from London.

The studio is purpose built with all the necessary acoustic treatment, isolation, lack of parallel walls....We have a lobby area with seperate kitchen (including television, microwave etc), toilet and shower room, very large control room, machine room, large live room and large drum booth. The studio also has its own garden and parking area.

DESK: Soundtracs Inline 56-channel (1985)

OUTBOARD: Preamps from Urie, Joe Meek, TL Audio.

MICS: A lovely selection from Neumann, AKG, Shure, SE and Beyerdynamic.

We also have a vast selection of instruments including 2 x Fender Telecasters ('76 Custom and '72 Custom), a Fender Concert Rivera Series (1983) valve combo, Bluthner grand piano,  Hammond B3 with valve Leslie cabinet, Marshall JCM800 50w valve amp head and more!

Just to say a big thank you to Dan And Gavin. We cut our latest demo at Barewires, and were extremely pleased with the result. Great environment, and excellent value for money. They actually listen to what you ask of them and do it !! Amazing ! Cheers chaps.
