I think a profile thing would be good with a pic and optional info such as age and location

For those of us who dont read every single post religiously, I'm hoping it works out and the users like it!

Sorry, only just seen this thread. But I would hope that posting user profiles will be optional? The reason being, that it seems to me that as soon as someone's identity and band is known on here, that's when the bitching and arguments start ! Some people of course thrive on this and enjoy it, whilst others find it upsetting and are put off by it.

After all, surely  the point in having a user name is to maintain anonimity, otherwise you may as well just use your own name. So I for one would like to be consulted before my details are put up. Anyone else agree?

 Yours Paranoidily  etc.etc !!!!

Hey Drumstick, you're not John "The Butcher" Matthews who lives at 44 The Sidings, Neasden, phone number: 020 686123456 are you?

I would have thought that a little less anonymity might go some way towards making some people think (I know...that word alone makes my point highly unlikely! Wink) twice about leaping into 'mud flinging' at every opportunity.

I say make the user identity/profile compulsory....that way, when you're an utter twonk to someone on here, they can come to your gigs, say a nice big "hi" and pour beer on your pedal board or whatever.  Y'know, just to show their appreciation for your kind words....

Let's see who the Richard Craniums really are....

Cool
