Absolutely incredible.
Opening with Big Casino, Sweetness, and Work, then hitting Blister, Pain, Bleed American, Butterflies, Futures, 23 and loads more, before ending with Your House, the incredible Hear You Me, and The Middle (bit of a disapointment for a set close for me, but it was still amazing).
Bad things: Nearly getting in a fight when Rob87 quite rightly called this bastard a "cunt". It was during Hear You Me, everyone was either silent or singing along, and this arsehole comes barging passed and shouting "MOVE!", so Rob called him that, and this bloke and his mate got a right monk on when he refused to let them passed. Not being funny, we were in the middle of the hall, it was a quiet emotional song and this bastard could've shut the fuck up and shown some respect.
Closing on the Middle. Great song, but it lacks the epic-ness that a Jimmy set really deserves. No Praise Chorus or Authority Song. I really wanted to hear Table For Glasses, but it was always a bit optimistic.
The GOOD THINGS: Jimmy are amazing. Their songs are amazing, their sound is amazing, their show is amazing. Seeing Jim Adkins silhouette projected on the side wall of the Guildhall genuinely looked incredible.
There is no ego between them, and they're great showmen without having to go down this annoying route Green Day and other pop punk bands have gone down the showboating, stopping in the middle of the song to do a 10 minute "oi oi oi" thing. They just played the song, but there is still interaction, they've just worked it into the songs. Hear You Me, despite the near fight, was utterly, utterly gorgeous. There were errant tears all through the room. Hearing Jimmy play Blister was amazing, its the first song of theirs I fell in love with. The crowd was really young, and me and Rob felt like such old bastards for being the only ones singing along when it went quiet. 23 was absolutely incredible. The live highlight of my year by a considerable distance so far. I wanted to sing along, but it felt wrong, I just had to stop and acknowledge the whole song. It was incredible, I can't describe properly how I felt.
Great night. Didn't think much of the support bands, I've forgotten their name already, but it was one of the worst band names I've ever had the misfortune of hearing.

Don't you hate that? Coming away from a gig you were really looking forward to and just feeling all ambivalent about it. Arf.

Dickie doesnt know whats waiting for him...l he said they wont play Hear You Me because its not a gigging song. I am so happy they are playing that. I am only sorry I cant be there with him I know it is going to be the best night of his life (other than meeting me obviously). Beesides my dog still poorly (now has a bleed in her eye). Anyway, he just rung and has bought himself a t shirt. I could text him and tell him the set, but no let it suprise him.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you again for suggesting the ticks as a xmas gift. x |

He'll be stunned by 23...We were just gobsmacked at how amazing it was.
Not enough Clarity for my liking, but I was genuinely suprised at how many songs I knew...Anything from Chase This Light was amazing. |

THAT was possibly the best thing ever, and, being last night of the tour, they wheeled out a load of stuff that wasn't on the setlist... best £18 I've ever spent ( and i even paid £17 for a tshirt) |
