These two songs will make up half of the EP I'm doing in the summer with Ian Sadler from the Sketch, who are knocking about these here forums.

Putting together a potent little band for it, a brilliant bassist, a gorgeous guitar player and a slightly very ginger mentalist who'll percuss things.

Little Love Notes, in the lyrics forum, will probably make it onto that EP as well.  Got to focus on getting the PlaceMats album out though...

I should add...

I have a profile on the Mr Gig performers section now, where you can hear Sunny Whitsun Days and Tina Said No.  Any roars of approval and hall of fame additions would be mint!

I like them both, but the second one especially.

Some really nice chord changes in there man.  You use your cam on your Mac to record?

Yeah mate, I'm playing around with it a lot, trying the different surfaces in my room to get different angles and what not for the stuff I'm playing.

I love the IMovie thing, are you using it yet?

Thanks for the compliments mate!

I like Sunny Whitsun days a lot as well.  Always have done.  Do you listen to much Graham Coxon stuff, because its similar in a way...

I aint played with Imovie yet.  Can you record through the cam in there?  I tried it through Photobooth but got massive latency?

Yeah, Imovie is the one I go for.

I open it, start a new project, then there is a camera icon that'll open the window to the viewer, capture and done it, then it saves it in your Video folder from the documents menu.

Ah wait, is that while you record it?  It might drag while you do that, but when you're done and back to the main screen it plays fine...

Its done me a world of good!

As soon as I get an idea now I whack it straight into garageband, then I actually spend time developing it, and I can record everything I practice until I'm happy enough to give it a shot on the webcam, which in my opinion gives off a really nice picture.

Yea, garageband is great for what it actually is.

I just got a copy of Idrum as well, so I can play with beats etc.  Change tempo and signatures.

My mate has that, its really good.  I've stuck with the metronome on Garageband when I'm practicing, I need to improve that aspect of my playing.

Has it worked alright?
