Born on the 7th October 1978 to a Jamaican father and an English mother, Alesha Dixon is one of seven children.
Alesha Dixon started her music career in the year 2000 as part of the group Mis-Teeq's. Unfortunately, after a promising start, the bands record label Telstar Records went bankrupt. Mis-Teeq's split as a band in January 2005 prompting the start of Alesha Dixons solo career.
Alesha's mis-fortune soon changed when Polydor records signed her to a £500.000 record deal. Her debut single from the album, ''Lipstick' was released in 2006 and reached number 14 in the UK album charts.
Alesha Dixon has also been a professional model with past magazine covers that have included FHM, Bliss, Company and Arena magazines and has been listed as one of the 100 sexiest women in an FHM poll.
Since leaving Mis-Teeq, Alesha Dixon has appeared in a number of television shows. She has presented the MOBO Awards, CD:UK and the TV coverage of the Brit Awards. Alesha has also made several guest appearances on popular TV shows such as 'This week', Alesha also took part and won the 2007 UK series of Strictly Come Dancing.
